Thank you cards we love
10 Jan
Do you still send Thank you cards? I have two friends who always send a thank you card, even if it’s just for a dinner or party. It’s SO lovely to receive these in the post, so although I don’t send them for everything, I always try to send some cards out at this time of year. I tend to send them a week or two after my birthday (which is very close to Christmas) because by then, I’ll generally have used the gifts and can tell the giver how I’ve been using it.
It’s amazing how easy it is to forget what you got for Christmas (how many times have you been asked ‘what did you get for Christmas?’ only to have your mind go blank while you list the only one or two things you can remember?) – writing down who gave you what on the day, followed up by sending thank you cards a couple of weeks later is a really lovely way to remember the day.
This year we still have LOTS of thank you cards and blank cards after the wedding, but there are so many lovely cards out there, it’s hard not to keep adding to my card collection. Some of the ones I’ve been eyeing up lately are:

1. Thank you sooo much via Wit and Whistle
2. Rifle Paper Co. cards via Papermash
3. Merci cards via Papermash
4. Personalised thank you via The Green Gables
5. Liberty print cards via Liberty
I have to admit, I am a bit ‘ageist’ when it comes to card sending – I tend to send them mostly to older relatives, but I think maybe I should start sending more…
Do you still send cards? Who to?

I don’t enough but I do think it is polite and correct to do so, especially if you go to dinner with someone you don’t know so well. I’ve got a little pile of those postcards with stamps already on them, so there’s no excuse for me this year.
I love your selection…I received the Merci note by Rifle paper this year…I’m keeping it…it’s so darling. Yes, I do send notes for everything!
