5 ways to cheer up on the most depressing day of the year
21 Jan
Apparently today is the most depressing day of the year. It’s still January. We still haven’t been paid. It’s still cold. Money is tight, summer is far away, Christmas is even further away… I guess I can see why.
BUT! There are lots of reasons to be cheerful on this January day and the internet is full of brilliant videos and photos to make you smile. It’s cheaper than spending lots of money on a sun lamp, so although it doesn’t perfectly fit the Shoestring theme, here are five things that might help cheer you up RIGHT NOW.
1. This video
2. This photo

3. Kittens on a slide
4. Someone’s dog teaching their puppy how to climb down stairs
5. Get planning
If you don’t have something that you’re looking forward to, plan one right now. Go on! Book your next holiday or book in a dinner with friends or organise a special date with your partner or do some research on cheap evening courses you could take (here’s what I’m planning) – if you are still feeling down today even after all the amazing things I just shared with you, make sure there’s something bright on the horizon.
If you’ve seen something that has made you smile recently, please share it in the comments and help your fellow man and woman feel a little bit brighter on this cold winter’s day…

Love it, can’t believe this didn’t make the cut though

HA! That made me laugh. Brilliant.
Oh my god, I love that Call Me Baby video! In fact, I’m going to watch it again right now.
Isn’t it brilliant? Who knew that watching a man dressed like a sexy lady on chatroulette could be so uplifting…
