Glitter Tea Cups – Tea Light Holders
25 Jan
I saw this idea for Glitter Tea Cups in Re-Craft which I reviewed a while ago. I had loads of spare teacups and saucers hanging around as part of my china hire business but the collection was starting to get out of hand. So, I decided to give this a go and they are the most beautiful candle holders I’ve ever seen! I made them to sell on our stall at The Vintage Event but had a Christmas party and sold the first batch then and there to friends so had to make a second lot.
They’re very easy to make, the hardest part is finding the pretty vintage tea cups. Once you have one simply coat the inside of the cup with PVA glue and sprinkle glitter inside. Tap and turn the cup so the glitter covers every part. I found two coats was necessary on some but generally if you wipe them out with some white spirit first it should stick well.

Those are stunning! I have a small collection of very pretty older tea cups that will soon be sparkling! Thank you for sharing the tip, I can’t wait to try it out.
So pretty!
Thank you both!
